VAET The Association for Alumni in Econometrics at Tilburg (VAET) is the association founded for and by alumni in the bachelor and master educational programs of Econometrics and Operations Research of the School of Economics and Management of Tilburg University. The association started formally in November 1986, but is already active since 1969. The association has almost 1000 members and is one of the largest alumni associations of Tilburg University. The main goals of the VAET are as follows:
The VAET organizes regularly an afternoon where alumni can meet each other in order to exchange old and new experiences. The VAET also tries to keep its members informed about the latest developments in econometrics and operations research. She is doing this in the first place by organizing the afternoon mentioned above. This meeting has a scientific character. Except alumni from Tilburg University in econometrics and operations research the association also has members who are staff members or PhD students at the Departement of Econometrics and Operations Research. Membership of the VAET is free. Through the VAET it is possible to subscribe on Until, the alumni magazine of Tilburg University and Stichting Cobbenhagen, the alumni organization of the university.
