The Cases: TBA - Quay Design

The TBA Game is about optimally designing the quay of a container terminal, with the goal to offer the vessels a good service level, while keeping the costs as low as possible. During the game a few teams will compete with each other to minimize the costs. Vessels are bound to tight schedules, and therefore smart planning is essential! Under the time pressure and in a competitive situation it is important to use clear strategies and communicate strongly. Smart planning, tight resource management, balancing demand and supply, and a good interaction within the team will lead to victory!

The Cases: EY

During the BAOR Inhouse Day we would like to invite you to our EY office in Amsterdam to get acquainted with our company and our consultants. This event is the perfect way to get acquainted with Technology Consulting in an informal way and find out if it is something for you. In addition to the informal part of the event (office tour, coffees and a nice lunch), we also like to tell you more about what is important within Technology Consulting. As an activity, you will receive a training in ''how to become a consultant''. Our Tech Consultants have sat together and thought about important elements that are recurring in their work. They are going to present these elements to you in an interactive way and train you in them. There will also be prizes to be earned so who knows, you might go home with a cool EY goodie. The training consists of the following elements:

Agile Project Management – The Scrum Method: what it is and how to use it
The art of storytelling – Convincing your audience with data
The implementation gap – The difference between a model and practice
