International Business Tour 2019

The International Business Tour (IBT) is a yearly business trip to a foreign destination. The goal of the IBT is to give econometrics students of Tilburg University the opportunity to explore the (corporate) culture abroad. During previous editions of the IBT cities like Cape Town, New York, Moscow, Singapore, Washington, Atlanta and Dubai were visited.

This year we will visit Mexico City, from October 24 until November 5, 2019!

The maximum participation fee is €899,- and includes the flights, stayover and activities. 24 econometrics students from Tilburg University can participate.

We will depart on Thursday October 24 from Schiphol Airport and we will return on Tuesday November 5.
During our stay we will be undertaking several cultural activities to explore the Mexican culture and compare it to the Dutch culture. Furthermore, we will be visiting several companies in Mexico City in order to have a taste of business life in Mexico and experience the differences in corporate culture.

If you can't make it to this information session, we will also organize one on Thursday April 18 at 16.45 hours.

Registration

You can register for the IBT 2019 by clicking on the button 'Register' and filling in the form below. You can register until Sunday April 28.

All econometrics students who are interested can register for the IBT 2019! However, please note that third-year bachelor and master students will be given priority.

The selection procedure will be based on the following categories:

  1. Master students econometrics, and bachelor students who started their study econometrics before 2017, who have not yet participated in a previous edition of the IBT.
  2. Master students econometrics, and bachelor students who started their study econometrics before 2017, who have participated once before.
  3. Master students econometrics, and bachelor students who started their study econometrics before 2017, who have participated twice before.
  4. Master students econometrics, and bachelor students who started their study econometrics before 2017, who have participated three times before.
  5. Master students econometrics, and bachelor students who started their study econometrics before 2017, who have participated four times before.
  6. Master students econometrics, and bachelor students who started their study econometrics before 2017, who have participated five or more times before.
  7. Bachelor students who started their study econometrics in 2018.
  8. Bachelor students who started their study econometrics in 2019.

Extra rules apply for former IBT committee members. Please ask the IBT 2019 committee or the board if this applies to you.

I agree with the maximum participation fee of €899 asked by the International Business Tour committee 2019 if selected to participate. The payment will occur in 2 terms, for this we will send you an invoice in July and September. If I am selected for the International Business Tour 2019, I will sign the contract.
